STARTING THE PROJECT “PROMOTING CAREER AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FOR YOUTH AND WOMEN”

In the morning of July 25, the Standing Board of Lao Cai Provincial Women’s Union collaborated with Aide et Action Vietnam (soon to become Action Education) to organize the launching program of the project “Promoting career development and business for youth and women” in Lao Cai province.

 

 

 

The program was attended by Ms. Ha Thi Khanh Nguyet – Chairwoman of the Women’s Union of Lao Cai province; Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu – Country Director of AEA Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Kim Thuy – Director of CGFED and leaders of Lao Cai Provincial Women’s Union; representative of AEA Vietnam; Representative of the Center for Research on Gender, Family and Environment in Development; Representatives of local youth unions and women’s unions implement the project together with a number of related units.

 

 

The project is implemented to create opportunities for high school students and young people and women from 18 to 35 years old in Bac Ha district, Sa Pa town, Lao Cai city to have access to economic resources, support for development. career development, employment and stable income.

 

 

At the conference, units and localities discussed with each other about the overall project and cooperation mechanism; how to implement each activity; exchange and share difficulties and problems that may be encountered during project implementation.

 

 

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu – Country Director of AEA Vietnam shared:

The activity is within the framework of the project “Promoting career and business development for young people and women” in Lao Cai and Hoa Binh provinces (Combining the project “Supporting livelihood restoration for workers after pandemic Covid-19” funded by the European Union and the project “Gender equality through vocational training and entrepreneurship” funded by the French Development Agency (AFD).
