Training on Food planning and food calculation in Vietnam

The training was organized for 4 days from April 25th to April 28th, 2013, at Thang Long hotel, Thai Nguyen city, Thai Nguyen province as part of the project “Nutrition and parenting education in Thai Nguyen”. 34 participants (including principals, teachers, cooks and school accountants) attended the training. The training contents include basic knowledge on nutrition and child health, food planning and food calculation and using of Nutrikids software. The Methodology includes PPT hand-outs, group work, presentation and discussion of group work, practice of software. All participants have opportunities to practice on setting up menu for children in school, calculation of food to purchase and cook by using Nutrikids software.

Thanks to the practice of setting up menu for children and the use of software, participants know how to make a proper menu for children appropriate to children taste, favor, to the weather (what should be fed to children in summer and in winter), how to change menu to make it more delicious.
