Emergency Support for Flood-Affected Communities in Khanh Hoa Province

On January 16, Aide et Action Vietnam (AEA – soon to become Action Education), in collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Red Cross Association, carried out an emergency relief activity for households severely affected by the November 2025 floods. This initiative received support from Standard Chartered Vietnam (SC Bank), with the direct participation of Ms. Nguyễn Thúy Hạnh, CEO of SC Bank.

Providing support packages to residents in Dien Khanh Commune

A total of 400 support packages, each including one rice cooker and one stainless steel cookware set, were distributed directly to 400 households across three communes: Dien Khanh, Dien Dien, and Tay Nha Trang. These practical gifts provided meaningful encouragement to help local families stabilise their daily lives after the floodwaters receded.

The delegation also visited and personally delivered gifts to three households, with each package including additional school supplies for children from disadvantaged families affected by the floods. Every household had its own story, challenges, and recovery journey, yet they all shared one common wish: “To start over and welcome a warm and fulfilling Lunar New Year.”

Speaking at the support handover ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh shared:

“On behalf of nearly 1,500 employees of Standard Chartered Vietnam, we are here to visit and provide gifts to local families with the hope of offering encouragement and solidarity to those who have endured tremendous hardship caused by natural disasters and floods over the past year. Beyond this emergency support, with assistance from AEA and local partners, we will continue accompanying communities through livelihood recovery packages and disaster risk preparedness training programs in the coming period.”

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Khanh Commune also presented Letters of Appreciation to Aide et Action Vietnam and Standard Chartered Vietnam for their partnership and support to flood-affected communities, as well as for demonstrating solidarity and contributing to local social welfare efforts.

This activity is part of the program “Emergency Relief for Flood-Affected Communities in Khanh Hoa Province,” implemented by Aide et Action Vietnam (AEA – soon to become Action Education) in collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Red Cross Association and funded by Standard Chartered.
