AEA VN (Ha Noi): welcome the EU Ambassador to Vietnam and 600 Hanoians at EU Village
Hanoi, May 6, 2018 – AEA Vietnam organized a prominent activation at “Europe Village”, attracted nearly 600 Hanoians to engage with AEA’s educational materials and messages.
With thousands of visits to EU Village every hour, AEA Vietnam successfully took the chance to showcase its image and progressive cooperation with the EU as a major donor. The booth honorly welcomed the EU Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Bruno Angelet, to join and discuss about AEA’s joint products Viet-Mong bilingual supplemental materials.

Having only short time for set-up when early visitors were too eager for playing, AEA Vietnam booth quickly engaged enthusiastic public in continuous games and gifts. Visitors to AEA Vietnam booth also had chance to explore special educational publications and talk to the program staffs about AEA’s works in Vietnam. Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, a Hanoian father with 2 daughters, found AEA’s Parenting and Nutrition Guide so practical he asked for a copy to apply from home.

Photo: Colour pens and paper plate were free for children to come draw and colour at their creativeness. To make it more interesting, children can turn their artworks into unique facemasks with the help from AEA volunteers.

Photo: Visitors wrote their wishes on lucky papers for themselves or for ethnic minority children to have a better education and hang them on a wishing tree. “Highland children can go to school”, one of the wish said.

Europe Village is a unique cultural and entertaining event in the heart of Hanoi, at the Ly Thai To Statue Square, Hoan Kiem Lake. Europe Village is part of the “Europe Days 2018” program, held by the Delegation of the European Union (EU), the Embassies of the EU Member States and the European Cultural Institutes, to mark Europe Day – 9 May.
