AEA has been working in Vietnam since 2003 with a focus on early childcare education, access to quality education, and inclusive education for children ethnic minorities while planing to venture further into Livelihoods Education and Education for girls and woman. We have implemented projects in 5 provinces of Vietnam, namely Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Thai Nguyen, Hoa Binh and Lai Chau.
In 2017-2019, AEA plans to extend its activities to the north of Vietnam, while the programmes in the South gradually phase out by 2016. There is a need to transform the regional strategy into a country context and into a concrete country plan. Such implementation can be carried out through a variety of approaches from service delivery to advocacy and networking, strengthened results framework and improvement in funding arrangements.
